Propose a CE Course
Civic Engagement Goals:
While CE classes vary in their approach, they should include the following components:

Active, regular participation in civic and community Life

Courses that intentionally engage students in learning related to service in the community
-
Courses that provide opportunities to interact with members of ideologically, economically, and culturally diverse communities and groups
-
Courses that encourage the distribution, translation, and application of knowledge for the public good.
Proposed Courses Should:

Be open and accessible to students from all undergraduate schools

Consider how to incorporate transdisciplinary perspectives, viewing the community as a key holder of knowledge

Are listed through Baylor departments and schools thus requiring approval from departments
-
Are new or revised courses that meet the program goals
-
Should allow students to connect service, citizenship, and community engagement with their academic interests, core requirements, and majors.
