URSA Travel Award
Goal: The URSA Travel Award is a competitive award that supports undergraduate students who have been accepted to present their research at a conference or have a need to travel to complete their research. The award is intended for students from any discipline that are presenting or publishing their independent, faculty-mentored research. The funds are spread out throughout the semester in order to give students a chance to apply and receive acceptance to spring meetings.
Introduction
- Please provide a synopsis of the area of research and the specific need that you have for the requested travel funds.
- If you are presenting at a conference, include the acceptance letter for your Abstract, or another form of evidence that you will be presenting. Funding for student travel to conferences or meetings requires that the undergraduate student is presenting their research. Please send any questions to URSA@baylor.edu.
- If you are traveling to participate in research, what are your specific objectives? Give a clear rationale for your request and how the grant funds will be used to support your research and future career.
Timeline and Budget

Please send any questions to URSA@baylor.edu.
Funding Process
URSA Travel Awards are reimbursements received as a one time payment after the travel receipts are received. These awards are distributed through Financial Aid and require a direct deposit account set up through OneStop Financial Aid.
