Recognition of Excellence in Undergraduate Research
The College of Arts and Sciences and the Office of Undergraduate Research (Eureka) are proud to offer our students a Recognition in Excellence in Undergraduate Research. Eventually the certificate will show in the student’s transcript but, for now, we will start to offer it as a paper certificate that students can add to their resume or CV under honors and awards.
This recognition is for graduating seniors who have completed the following requisites:

By the time of graduation, students should have a minimum of 4 semesters of research at Baylor University with the same research professor and have presented their research in a national or regional conference, BURST Research Internship Day, BTRUE Summer Research Symposium, or Scholars Week. Others presentations can be approved on a case-by-case basis.

By the time of graduation, students should have a minimum of 3 semesters of research at Baylor University with the same research professor plus a summer research internship experience (not necessarily at Baylor University) and have presented their research in a national or regional conference, BURST Research Internship Day, BTRUE Summer Research Symposium, or Scholars Week. Others presentations can be approved on a case-by-case basis.

Starting June 1, 2023 students will be required to have registered for research during 4 semesters (any combination of 1V9R, 2V9R, 3V9R, and 4V9R) and have a letter of recommendation from their research professor. Students that have a summer research experience will be required to have a letter of recommendation form their summer research professor.
Students can apply any time during their senior year as long as they satisfy the conditions listed above at the time of application. The recognitions will be emailed to the students.
So, if you are graduating this May, August or December, and would like to receive this certificate, please fill out the form using the link below. We will confirm with your research professor about the length of time you have been in their lab. This certificate is only for graduating seniors.
Graduate Student Certificate of Excellence in Mentoring Undergraduate Research
The Office of Undergraduate Research is proud to offer our graduate students a Certificate of Excellence in Mentoring Undergraduate Research. This is a unique honor that graduate students can add to their resume or CV under honors and awards.
The requirement to receive this certificate are:

Have mentored at least 1 undergraduate student for 2-semesters in research lab.

One letter of support from the undergraduate student(s).

Letter of support from their PI.
