Announcing the Baylor Summer Fellows Program for 2025
The Office of Engaged Learning is excited to announce the Baylor Summer Fellows Program for 2025, offering funded opportunities for Baylor undergraduate students to engage in internships and research experiences that promote the public good.
Program Highlights:
- Funded Opportunities: All Baylor Summer Fellows internship programs offer a stipend for living expenses, with total amounts ranging from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the program.
- Diverse Internship Options: For summer 2025, students can choose from a variety of internships, including:
- City of Waco Policy Innovation Internship
- Waco Family Medicine Primary Care Internship
- Shepherd Higher Education Consortium on Poverty (SHECP) Internship
- Urban REAP: Renewable Energy and Agricultural Project
- B-TRUE Summer Fellows Program
- Tropical Disease Research Internship Program (T-DRIP)
- Cohort Experiences: All Baylor Summer Fellows will participate in several cohort activities, such as:
- Cohort preparation: In line with Baylor’s participation in the Community-Based Global Learning Collaborative, Baylor Summer Fellows will learn about building just, inclusive, and sustainable communities in their chosen field and context. This meeting will be scheduled in the spring of 2025 after internships have been accepted.
- Virtual or face-to-face meetings to get to know each other
- Present research and internship projects/findings at the Summer of Discovery Undergraduate Research and Internship Poster Symposium at the Mayborn Museum
Application Process:
- Application: Students may review the opportunities and applications on the Office of Engaged Learning website.
- Rolling Reviews: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Depending on the internship or program, an interview or follow-up responses to supplemental questions may be requested.
