For many years, URSA Scholars Week has been held during the first week of April as a campus‑wide celebration of undergraduate research across all disciplines. This long‑standing tradition has highlighted the creativity, dedication, and scholarly achievements of Baylor’s undergraduate researchers and faculty mentors.
At the same time, other groups across campus have been cultivating strong research-centered events of their own. For several years we have envisioned bringing these efforts together—uniting diverse disciplines, academic levels, and scholarly communities. In 2026 this dream became a reality and the beginning of something BIG!
The plans for Baylor Student Research Week 2027 are to host an even larger event with participation from every college!

- Graduate students
- Faculty mentors and post-doctoral researchers
- Departments and research organizations from across the university
By merging these long-standing traditions, we are taking a major step toward creating a research culture that is more visible, more connected, and more vibrant.
