The Fulbright Future Scholarship

The Award

The Fulbright Future Scholarship to Australia is a research/study grant that will be utilized to support a 10-month project in cancer immunotherapy research at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne.

At Baylor

Joelle graduated with a BS in the Science Research Fellows major, concentrating in Biochemistry and Genetics. She was President of the Hillis Scholars Program, Editor in Chief of The Pulse Honors Academic Journal, a Prehealth Mentor, and a researcher in Dr. Joseph Taube’s cancer biology lab.

Her Future

Upon her return to the US, Joelle aspires to pursue an MD/PhD education and become a physician scientist.
