The Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship Program

The Award

The Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship Program will fund a master’s degree in Arab Studies at Georgetown University as well as two internships at the U.S. Department of State. Upon completion, fellows are commissioned as U.S. Foreign Service Officers.

At Baylor

Cat earned her BA in University Scholars, concentrating in Arabic and Middle East Studies and Poverty and Social Justice Studies. She was a Bob Bullock Legislative Scholar and a McLane Scholar. She also served as the student representative to the all-faculty Campus Diversity Committee.

Her Future

After earning her degree, Cat will work in embassies and consulates around the world as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer.
