Waco Family Medicine Primary Care Internship
The Waco Family Medicine (WFM) Primary Care Internship is a paid summer internship lasting approximately 6 weeks from June 15 – July 24, 2026. The goal of the program is to provide undergraduate students in biomedical and health sciences access to clinical shadowing and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to primary care research projects under the mentorship of experienced medical professionals and principal investigators. Candidates who would benefit from additional clinical observational experience are prioritized.
Interest in a career in primary care (particularly Family Medicine) is preferred. Interns are expected to work 30-40 hours a week and will receive a stipend at the conclusion of the internship.
Eligibility:
- Currently enrolled at Baylor University
- Currently classified as a Sophomore or Junior (an upcoming Junior or Senior for the 2026/2027 academic year)
- Current Medical Humanities major, minor, or concentration
Applications have now closed as of January 30, 2026. Interns will be announced March 6, 2026.
After an initial review, some candidates will be invited to interview with the Waco Family Medicine Internship coordinator for final selection.
