Applications Open for 2025-26 Baylor Engage Fellows and Provost's Scholars Cohorts

The Office of Engaged Learning has opened applications for the Baylor Engage Fellows and Provost's Scholars programs for the 2025-2026 academic year. Engage Fellows applications are due on Monday, March 31, 2025, and Provost's Scholars applications are due on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
Students in their second or third year are invited to become Baylor Engage Fellows, a community committed to integrating scholarship, citizenship, and leadership in pursuit of the common good. Guided and mentored by Baylor faculty and staff, Baylor Engage Fellows pursue a variety of research, ambassadorial, and civic endeavors. Research pathways might include “V9R” research classes, summer research experiences, public research presentations, submission of grant proposals, or preparing a manuscript for publication in an undergraduate or professional journal. Ambassadorial pathways might include proficiency in a modern language, studying abroad, pursuing the Global Engagement certificate, teaching English, or an international internship. Civic pathways might include serving as a teaching assistant for a Philanthropy and Public Service course, minoring in Poverty and Social Justice, completing the Baylor in Washington program, and sustaining, deepening, and advancing in service with a local nonprofit organization. In each of these activities, Baylor Engage Fellows are guided and mentored by faculty, staff, and older students who help them orient their learning and their lives to the good of the world.
The Provost's Scholars program is open to students who have excelled in their scholarship, citizenship, and leadership pursuits during their time at Baylor, have clearly oriented their education and life toward the common good, and are poised to continue doing so in their post-graduate endeavors. They are students with a deep concern for and demonstrated commitment to the flourishing of all people, all communities, and society at large, who are committed to further developing a community of like-minded and like-hearted students at Baylor. Through a highly selective process, students who become Provost's Scholars receive tailored mentorship, support, and guidance from faculty and staff as they prepare to chart their path beyond Baylor and pursue all manner of exciting post-graduate opportunities. They also guide and mentor younger students, build and foster a community of students working together across disciplines to promote human flourishing, and work with university leadership to shape the future of the institution so that more students, faculty, and staff can participate in the work of engaged learning for the common good.
