Announcing the 2026-27 Provost's Scholars

The Office of Engaged Learning has named its newest cohort of Provost’s Scholars, comprised of 20 exceptional students from a diverse array of academic disciplines spanning health sciences, international studies, political science, business, economics, entrepreneurship, music performance, and more.

Open to students in any program of study, Provost’s Scholars serve as the Provost’s designated student working group, executing a charge from the university’s chief academic officer to recommend improvement in key strategic areas of the university. In so doing, Provost's Scholars also join the collaborative efforts of the Office of Engaged Learning to promote an orientation toward human flourishing and the common good among students across the university.

Provost's Scholars, identified through a highly selective process, have excelled in their scholarship, citizenship, and leadership pursuits during their time at Baylor. They have clearly oriented their education and their lives toward the common good and are poised to continue doing so in their post-graduate endeavors. They are students with a deep concern for, and demonstrated commitment to, the flourishing of their neighbors, their communities, and society at large, having bridged classroom learning to the world beyond during their time at Baylor.

During their tenure in the program, Provost’s Scholars offer these experiences and ideals in service to the university, forging a lasting legacy as they help shape the institution for future generations of students. Being a Provost’s Scholar is thus an honor and a responsibility—a celebration of a student’s distinguished achievements and an opportunity to lead in enduring ways to the benefit of Baylor.
