Kelly Rossler
Nursing
I am honored to introduce nursing students to research and evidence-based practice processes which will help them in the their future role as a Registered Nurse. My research focuses on the effectiveness of simulation-based teaching strategies (EX: human patient and immersive virtual reality simulators) on improving interprofessional education and collaborative practice among nurses and healthcare professionals. Additionally, I seek to evaluate the impact of simulation on practice behaviors and patient care outcomes. I hold the distinction of being selected as an International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) Research Fellow in the inaugural 2016 cohort. As an INACSL Standard Committee member, I actively participate in developing new international and nationally recognized practice standards for use of simulation in teaching and practice. I am recognized as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
