Felise Bressler Presents Research at Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting
Felise Bressler, a 2024-25 Provost's Scholar and current research technician in the Nguyen Lab, presented her work on "The Effects of Acute and Protracted Oxycodone Withdrawal on Perineuronal Nets and Dynorphin-A" at the Society for Neuroscience 2025 Annual Meeting. The Society for Neuroscience is the world's largest neuroscience conference, with over 20,000 scientists and physicians attending from across the globe. In addition to presenting her research, Felise attended various seminars, networking events, and the graduate school fair.
As an early career researcher, Felise encourages both undergraduate and graduate students to attend and take advantage of the various opportunities SfN has to build a professional network and learn more about the various opportunities to continue in scientific research. "Presenting at SfN was not nearly as daunting as I would have thought," Bressler shared. "It was nice to have other neuroscientists, including senior scientists and graduate students, show genuine interest and ask stimulating questions regarding my work. It feels like such an accomplishment to be able to share my work with such a knowledgeable and diverse audience."
