April Strickland

Originally from San Antonio, Texas, April Strickland has called Waco home since 2017. She has extensive experience providing agriculture and gardening education, nutrition programming, and outdoor recreational learning opportunities for both adults and children. April has worked across a variety of community-based settings and has helped connect McLennan County residents with organizations that promote holistic wellness and community health. Her professional background includes roles with Texas A&M Extension, Urban REAP, Waco Family Medicine, World Hunger Relief Institute, McLennan County Community College, La Puerta, Family of Faith Worship Center, GTG Outdoors, and the Texas Children in Nature Network. Her work reflects a strong commitment to education, service, and community well-being.
