Rachel Rube
- Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Rachel Rube is a Family Medicine physician practicing medicine at Baylor Scott & White Bosque Clinic here in town. She has been caring for patients of the greater Waco area since 2016 in various practice settings, caring for patients of all ages. She completed her undergraduate studies at Baylor University in 2009 (Sic em!) and went on to experience the world of medicine firsthand as an EMT in an Emergency Department in Plano for several years before she decided to pursue a career as a physician. She went on to complete her medical education at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Fort Worth, Texas (2012-2016). From there, her sights were set on Family Medicine with Obstetrics, and she came back to Wacotown for residency in 2016. She began her career as faculty at the residency program after graduation and remained an engaged teaching attending in both hospital and clinic settings, practicing full scope, broad spectrum medicine.
She is passionate about women's and children's care, lactation medicine, mental health access, and physician well-being. Outside the clinical setting, she is enlivened by mentorship opportunities for school aged children and beyond. She enjoys speaking engagements at local schools and organizations, and has spearheaded various projects including the Waco Family Medicine (WFM) Primary Care Internship for university students, local clinical symposiums, and resident physician wellness subcommittees. She is excited to work more closely with Baylor students in a teaching role to help shape and guide their paths to service in healthcare.
