Summer of Discovery: Undergraduate Research and Internships Poster Symposium
The summer of 2024 proved to be a transformative time for around 50 Baylor University students participating in the Office of Engaged Learning’s Baylor Summer Fellows Program. These undergraduate students worked in a variety of internships and research experiences, cultivating scholarly interests and addressing community needs.
On Friday September 13 from 3:00-5:00 at the Mayborn Museum, the Baylor Summer Fellows will be sharing their experiences at the first annual Summer of Discovery Undergraduate Research and Internship Poster Symposium. The posters describe a wide variety of experiences including international experiences in Guyana, Singapore, and Mexico, as well as a Theatre project involving local school children. The internships are further described below:

- Shepherd Higher Education Consortium on Poverty (SHECP) Internship
- BTRUE Summer Research Program
- iBEARS Summer Research Abroad
- Urban REAP: Renewable Energy and Agricultural Project
- Tropical Medicine Summer Institute
- Tropical Disease Research Internship Program (T-DRIP).

Office of Engaged Learning
The Office of Engaged Learning at Baylor University is a central hub of programs through which students discover opportunities to maximize their undergraduate education by learning beyond the classroom.
