URSA grant proposals are awarded to faculty mentors to promote and expand research participation by undergraduate students. The grants are meant to fund undergraduate projects or involvement in faculty research and may include equipment, supplies, travel, and student stipends. The purpose is to engage students in the active faculty/student collaborative learning relationships crucial for success in all fields of research, and to expose students to resources and facilities that may stimulate their interest in pursuing research careers. These grants are awarded each spring for the following fiscal year.
