Propose Your Own
Proposed internships provide students with a chance to get creative and focus on their particular interests in collaboration with individuals, groups and/or organizations based in the United States or around the world. Proposed internships should be focused on the public good in some capacity. Students should only propose opportunities that do not have funding attached. Approved internships will be eligible for OEL funding.
Students can build upon previous internships or volunteer engagements, and sometimes work with organizations in their home communities. Students pursuing this option should not propose an internship until they have secured one and must provide a letter of invitation from their host organization.
